Housing is a really important and "headache" part of setting up a life together. We actively took part in all the balloting exercises conducted by HDB but luck was not with us. Our ballot queue number usually ended up in the thousands range and available units were only less than a few hundred.After our ROM, we finally decided to venture into the resale market. We looked into mature estates like Braddell, Red Hill, Tiong Bahru and Queenstown, but were turned off by the huge cash over valuation (COV) requested by sellers. Subsequently, we considered Yishun, Woodlands & Admiralty. Of the 30 over units we saw, we fell in love with this simple & cozy unit in Admiralty and so we decided to make it our new home! Next... renovation! We had alot of ideas for our new place, but due to HDB, fengShui & financial constraints, we were unable to realize everything. However, we still managed to come up with a design that we liked & here we are -- our cozy home in Admiralty. Thanks to Mr Pern, our trusty renovation contractor.
